TheryOS launches AI that builds investment portfolios, outperforms leading benchmarks and enables every decision to be reconstructed

The Spanish deeptech company introduces Thery Dynamic and Thery Signals in its first public product launch. Its investment system has undergone 26 years of historical backtesting across Global, United States and Europe universes, with annualised return differences of between +10.78 and +15.30 percentage points against their respective benchmarks.

TheryOS introduces Thery Dynamic, its investment portfolio construction and evaluation system, and Thery Signals, a new layer of portfolio intelligence for professional investment managers and advisers. With this launch, the company brings its decision infrastructure and world models to the financial sector.

Thery Dynamic is a proprietary system that combines quantitative models, market analysis and learning from outcomes to build and evaluate portfolio proposals based on the objectives, liquidity, risk and constraints defined by each organisation. Each proposal is compared with its benchmark, taking risk, costs and historical performance into account.

Unlike systems based solely on generative models, the investment logic resides in a proprietary, deterministic and governed engine. Generative models perform supporting tasks, while decisions, rules, evidence and outcomes remain within a traceable and auditable architecture.

From building portfolios to improving existing ones

The launch also includes Thery Signals, a new portfolio intelligence tool for professional investment managers and advisers. Signals uses the knowledge generated by Thery Dynamic to analyse other portfolios, identify signals and assess potential improvements, extending the technology beyond portfolios built directly by the system.

The two products share the same intelligence foundation but address different needs: Thery Dynamic builds and evaluates investment proposals; Thery Signals applies that intelligence to the analysis and review of other portfolios.

An evaluation open to investment managers and professionals

TheryOS is opening a free evaluation for selected organisations, which can test Thery Dynamic under their own conditions by defining the investment universe, portfolio constraints, benchmark, costs and schedule.

The company is also opening discussions with investment managers and professionals interested in exploring how Thery Dynamic and Thery Signals can complement their existing investment processes.

Interested organisations can consult the results, learn about the evaluation conditions and apply to participate on the Thery Dynamic page.

Proprietary intelligence that learns while retaining control

Thery Dynamic draws on the TheryOS architecture and its research into world models. Applied to investment, this technology builds a dynamic representation of the market that connects assets, data, rules, risks, objectives and their evolution over time.

An engine operates on this foundation to evaluate its outcomes and use that knowledge in subsequent evaluations. A hypothesis that fails does more than produce a negative result: it generates new evidence that can inform the learning process. New configurations are validated and compared before being introduced into production, with human oversight of which version makes decisions.

The architecture also retains the evidence needed to reconstruct the process from beginning to end: what information was available, which alternatives were evaluated, which rules and constraints were applied, what decision was made and what the subsequent outcome was.

This approach addresses one of the main challenges of using artificial intelligence in financial services: opaque decisions. TheryOS incorporates traceability, documentation, governance and human oversight by design, in line with the requirements applicable to investment services and the criteria developed in Europe for the use of artificial intelligence in regulated environments. The architecture is also designed to keep organisations’ information in Europe, allowing them to retain control over their data, knowledge and investment criteria.

Comments from Alejandro Díaz González, CEO of TheryOS Technologies

“We have spent three years developing and patenting world models to apply AI safely and with governance in critical sectors. Evaluating Thery Dynamic with a major investment manager led us to put the system through 26 years of backtesting, and the results exceeded our expectations. That is why we have decided to open it to the market: we want to help investment managers and high-net-worth clients achieve higher returns without giving up control over each decision.”
